My son was perfectly potty trained at around 24 months. It was cake, he was trained in only a few days and never had an accident. He was trained perfectly for about a yr when one day in September of 2011 he had an accident and pooped his pants. He has refused to go poop on the potty ever since then. Since that day he asks for a diaper to poop in. He has never stopped peeing in the potty. It really worried me so I asked his doctor who said that it was normal and don't bother him about it and he will go in the potty when he is ready.. So I didn't but now it's getting to be ridiculous. It's been 7 months now!! He will be 4 in August and he knows how to poop on the potty he did it for a year. So lately when he asks for a diaper I tell him no to go on the potty. He won't he will just walk away and hold it and come back an hr or so later and ask for a diaper again until it's to the point where he is very uncomfortable from holding it and I give in because I don't want to do that to him. Then when I am changing his poopy diapers I talk to him about where he should poop which is on the potty and ask him if he will and he always says "okay mommy I poop on potty" so I say are you going to poop on the potty next time? "Yep I poop on potty next time" but then when next time comes he wont go on the potty! I try sitting him on it and he just freaks out.. I even let him go online and pick out any Thomas toy (his fav fav fav) and told him I would order it if he poops on the potty. Nope nothing.. what do I do?!!!!! Oh and can't take the diapers away completely because he has a little sister who will be turning 2 soon but I will be starting to train her here within the next few weeks so I'm hoping that might help him along. Also he does wear a diaper at night because if not he always wets his bed! Help!!
